Caçadora (Ca-sa-dor-a) (Brazilian for huntress) Tracking earthly frequencies for sensual sounds.
Her sets lean towards the organic, blending world roots rhythms with tasty electronic beats. She incorporates a healthy dub influence in her sound, spun with Jamaican, East Indian, Latin, Brazilian and funk flavours. Caçadora delivers these global vibrations with a sweet warm bass and serves them up inside dub, reggae, glitch hop, dancehall and breakbeat — subwoofer is a must.
You’ll see Caçadora droppin’ bass grooves to make yo’ booty move regularly in Victoria at the Reef and various shows around the city as well as touring with the Church of Reggae Yoga.
DJ Frame is no stranger to the Reef. He is armed with the freshest variety of reggae, dub, dancehall, hip hop and jungle beats and is ready to nice up the dance proper.
Rhythmicon refers to two things: the world’s first electronic drum machine and one of Victoria BC’s premiere music selectors. Known for his diversity, he stands out with distinctive sets and tracks build around melody and groove. Buying decks and starting his record collection in high school, he holds well over a decade of experience honing his craft.
While continuing to produce and play his original style of irie drum and bass and deep dubstep, his style continues to evolve. He has most recently been a core contributor to the burgeoning classic house and UK garage resurgence. Now having branched out into live PA performance, Rhythmicon is also one half of Hi-Q Sound System, a multi-instrumental dub reggae act featuring live manipulated beats, trumpet, synths, melodica and bass guitar
